Oprah-did Oprah Eject a Bridal Party From Ranch for Obama’s Fundraiser?
In 2005, Oprah read the riots act when she was prevented from entering Herme’s store after hours. Recently she may have come close to a thumbs down when she tried to eject a bridal party from their advance booked hotel. Oprah needed the rooms to accommodate the famous guests in the San Ysidro Ranch next to her 64 million ranch in Santa Barbara.Oprah, the famous host of Oprah talk show is a Barrack Obama-for-president supporter and was planning a fundraiser on Sept. 8. The 2nd Street District in downtown Austin has grown rapidly, and Austin is reaping the benefits. Besides the nightlife bar scene of 6th Street, and a smattering of shops on Congress Avenue, downtown Austin lacked a hub for shopping, eating, and entertainment that the 2nd Street District is now providing with a vengeance.
Cashing in on Austinites’ love for being outdoors, and its close proximity to the Zilker hike and bike trail, the 2nd Street District is pedestrian oriented, with wide sidewalks, and open air store fronts and outdoor seating at many of the restaurants.

It is one thing to have a limited political goal and to fight decisively for it; it is quite another to apply military force incrementally, hoping to find a political solution somewhere along the way.
